" How do i book online?"
You can visit the 'APPOINTMENTS' tab above here or via the 'book now' tab on Instagram. Be sure to select all the services applicable to complete your service. If you are unsure, feel free to email us and we'll assist you. All bookings require credit card details to secure your appointment. Any cancellations or rescheduling of your appointment within 48 hours of your appointment will be charge $25. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please email email@example.com.
"It’s my first time visiting and I have nails done from another salon, can i infill them with you?"
Definitely a question I get asked a lot. Unfortunately I do not infill other salon/nail tech’s work due to chemical imbalances that can cause lifting, breakages or other issues. With all first time clients looking to apply acrylic extensions or overlays; to book with me to have them removed properly first. (Please do not rip or bite them off as you’re causing further damage to your natural nails!)
"When should I arrive for my appointment?"
We suggest you to be right on time for your appointment. If you are running 10 minutes late, you may be subjected to a reduced service (less or no nail art). If you run more than 20 minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled and you will be charged the full cost of the service.
"What is the difference between MMA (Methyl methacrylate) and EMA (Ethyl methacrylate)?"
Most salons based in shopping centres use MMA acrylic, which can cause all kinds of problems. MMA is not recommended for use in acrylic nail products, as it is too hard (like concrete) and can tear the nail off the finger easily. The odor can also cause lightheadedness and dizziness.
EMA is the safer alternative for extensions however does come with a higher price tag. It is more flexible, easier to remove and has less odor and less prone to cause reactions generally caused by MMA.
"Do you offer extensions with tips?"
Yes, however I prefer to sculpt extensions rather than use tips as they are tailored to each and every nail. Nail tips can feel more heavy, tight and bulky. Sculpting does take a little longer than applying tips, however the final set will look more natural and feel much lighter. (As I always say: quality over quantity) - If you would like tips, please request this at your appointment.
"What is Apres Gel-X Extension?"
We use high quality full cover tips that is applied over the entire nail. All appointments include removal of your old gel extensions and a new set is applied. This service gives you instant length and the perfect shape every time. The benefits of this service is you can change the length and shape at every appointment - so there is no commitment!
"How often should I come in for an acrylic infill?"
I would recommend you visit every 2-3 weeks depending on how fast or slow your nails grow. Any sets that are older than 4 weeks will be classified and charged as a full set.
"Do you offer SNS?"
I do not use the brand 'sns' or provide the dipping method in any service. If you are looking for a thinner and natural alternative, please book in for an 'Acrylic Overlay over Natural Nails' or 'Gel Manicure + Strength Base".
"Do you use Shellac?"
I do not use the brand ‘Shellac’, though I do use ‘gel polish’. The term you are searching for is a ‘Gel Manicure’, which is the same process and has the same length of wear. Shellac is to gel polish as BandAid is to adhesive bandages.
"How is your nail art charged?"
I have different options for nail art that depends on how many nails you want art on. The starting price is $15 and can range up to $40. However, If you are looking to really take it up a notch and have characters hand drawn or sculpted, please email us your design for a separate quote. If you are unsure as to how long your desired design may take, feel free to contact me and we can make sure we have time for your masterpiece.
"Are children allowed in the salon?"
Unfortunately as there is a lot of chemicals and sharp tools in the salon, I have applied a STRICT NO BABY/CHILD POLICY as damages and injury can occur. Apart from fiddly hands, babies and children can cause distractions where you may need to attend to your child and this time wasted is not accounted for. Apologies for the inconvenience.
"What is your cancellation/reschedule policy?"
If you choose to cancel your appointment within 48 hours of your appointment, you will be charged a $25 cancellation fee to the credit card stored from your original booking. If you reschedule your appointment within 48 hours of your appointment, the appointment must be rescheduled to a spot within 7 days of your original appointment to avoid any charges. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
"What happens if I do not show up for my appointment?"
If I do not receive an email or call from you and you do not show up for your appointment, the full cost of the service will be charged. We reserve the right to cancel all future appointments booked if a no-show has occurred.
